Which 2021 Seltos models have AWD?

One of the defining traits of the 2021 Kia Seltos is its ability to handle just about anything an owner can throw at it. As a crossover SUV, there is an expectation that the 2021 Seltos will be able to do at least some light off-road driving. Early reviews have certainly made that expectation more credible.

Every one of the five trim grades available for the 2021 Kia Seltos can be equipped with the automaker’s very capable all-wheel-drive system. In fact, it would be safe to say that the 2021 Seltos is equipped with all-wheel-drive as standard equipment. Only the S trim is available with front-wheel-drive.

How does AWD affect fuel economy?

There is very little difference in fuel economy scores for front- and all-wheel-drive-equipped models of the 2021 Kia Seltos. A model of the newest Kia crossover SUV with the standard 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine and all-wheel-drive will be able to achieve 27 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. The front-wheel-drive model with the same engine will make 29 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.

However, the more powerful turbocharged 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine will return 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
