Kia Says Goodbye to Kia Optima and Hello to Kia K5
The 2021 Kia K5 is available in five affordable trims. While this is an upgraded version of the previously adored Kia Optima, so many changes were made to the exterior and interior design that Kia decided a new name was needed. Below we will explore the five trims available, some of their features, and the pricing.
2021 Kia K5 LX
This is the base trim for the 2021 K5, so it has the lower starting MSRP of $23,490. This trim will still be packed with features, but it will also have the basics. It has a 1.6L Turbo four-cylinder base engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Some driver assistance features, such as Auto Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Assist, are available.
2021 Kia K5 LXS
This trim builds off the previous trim a bit and has a starting MSRP of $24,490. It is only an extra $1,000 from the base trim and includes more driver assistance technology features. It has the same performance specifications and technology/infotainment as the previous trim.
2021 Kia K5 GT-Line
With a starting MSRP of $25,390, this 2021 K5 offers more when it comes to the exterior build of the vehicle. There are sport bumpers, 18-inch Sport Allow Wheels, and a GT-Line Sport SynTex seating material. This 2021 K5 is a sportier version of the base trim.
2021 Kia K5 EX
For a starting MSRP of $27,990, you can get a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch Machined Gray Alloy Wheels, UVO link, leather seating, and other convenient interior luxuries. This trim level of the 2021 Kia K5 is a step up from the LX trim, and you will be enjoying comfort for the entire drive.
2021 Kia K5 GT
This is the top trim available for the 2021 Kia K5. It has a starting MSRP of $30,490 and is equipped with a 2.5L Turbo four-cylinder engine. If you are looking for speed, this is the trim for you. It has 290 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque capabilities.
