Crayola ColorCycle Initiative in Lehighton, PA
Here at Lehighton Kia, we are gearing up to send our kids back to school with brand-new notebooks, folders, pencils, and of course – crayons and markers from Crayola. A while back, we had shared a blog about the best day trips and eastern Pennsylvania, and we made sure to suggest the Crayola Experience in nearby Easton. In addition to offering fun and colorful experiences for the whole family, we love Crayola because their products are the best when it comes to quality and color. We also love the brand because it offers a special environmental initiative to help keep our world clean and colorful.
This initiative is known as Crayola ColorCycle, and it involves the brand’s best-selling markers. Whether it is the 10 classic colors, a set of Silly Scents, a box of fine-tips, or a pack of broad-line ultra-brights, all those markers require a lot of plastic. And let’s be honest, when our pack of markers dries out, we will either toss them in the garbage (where they will end up in a landfill) or stick them in a drawer and forget about them for a decade. With the Crayola ColorCycle initiative, the brand is collecting markers for recycling and will create new markers!
How to Get Involved with the Crayola ColorCycle Initiative
If you need to get rid of your old markers, please visit www.crayola.com/colorcycle. The brand will send you a shipping label that you can attach to a cardboard box filled with the markers. And the best part is, shipping in the United States (except for Hawaii and Alaska) is free!
We also recommend reaching out to your local school district and find out if it is participating in the initiative. If so, you should just be able to leave your old markers with the designated coordinator to take care of.
From all of us here at Lehighton Kia, have an awesome and colorful school year – and make sure to study hard!
